Join Us on April 16
Recovery at the Crossroads invites you to an upcoming Open House on April 16. This event offers a chance to explore our space, connect with our team, and learn more about the therapies we use to support both mental and physical well-being.
Guests will be guided through the facility and introduced to our structured, evidence-based approach to care, including demonstrations of how our treatment model supports lasting recovery.
What to Expect During the Open House
The day is designed to be both informative and interactive. Attendees will move through different areas of the facility while learning about the core components of treatment and how they work together.
You will see how we integrate cognitive and somatic approaches, helping individuals regulate the body while also building healthier thought patterns. This combined approach is essential for effective trauma and substance use treatment.
Interactive Workshops and Experiential Therapies
Throughout the event, guests can participate in hands-on experiences that reflect our holistic model of care.
Yoga and reiki sessions will demonstrate how body-based practices support emotional regulation, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being. These approaches are especially helpful for individuals managing anxiety, trauma, and substance use challenges.
Art therapy will offer a creative way to explore emotions. Using guided activities like the Emotions Wheel, participants can better understand emotional patterns, build awareness, and develop healthier coping strategies.
Relaxation, Connection, and Community
In addition to clinical experiences, the Open House includes opportunities to relax and connect.
Guests can sign up for massages, enjoy a thoughtfully prepared lunch, and take part in a spring flower planting activity. These moments reflect the importance of balance, community, and healing in the recovery process.
Continuing Education Training at 2 PM
At 2:00 PM, Clinical Director Nadine Talley, LCSW, MSW, CTSS, will lead a one-hour training titled:
“The Eight Sensory Systems in Emotional Regulation, Arousal, Trauma, and Substance Use.”
This training explores how sensory systems influence behavior, emotional regulation, and recovery. Nadine’s work is informed by advanced trauma training, including study under psychiatrist Bessel van der Kolk.
Attendees will receive a certificate for 1.0 Continuing Education Contact Hour after completing the session.
